FAQ
Common questions
Which government jobs are best for graduates?
SSC CGL, bank PO and clerk (SBI, IBPS), RRB NTPC graduate posts, court assistant posts, insurance administrative officer, defence officer entries (CDS, AFCAT) and civil services (UPSC and state PCS) are the most popular.
Can final-year students apply for graduate-level jobs?
Some recruitments allow it. For example, SBI PO lets final-year students apply provisionally if they pass by a date set in the notification. Others need the degree by the last date of application, so check each notification.
Does the subject of my degree matter?
For most graduate-level jobs (SSC CGL, bank PO, NTPC, court assistant), any discipline is accepted. Some posts need a specific degree — for example, engineering for technical posts or agriculture for agriculture officer posts.
Do graduate jobs have typing or computer requirements?
Some do. Court junior assistant and clerk posts often require a typing speed on a computer (for example 25–35 words per minute), tested after the written exam.
