The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will hold the Computer Based Test (CBT) for Section Controller recruitment under CEN No. 03/2026 on 12 and 13 October 2026. Under the RRB schedule, the e-call letter (admit card) can be downloaded about 4 days before your exam date. The exam city and date intimation link goes live about 10 days before the exam.

The recruitment is for 119 posts of Section Controller at Pay Level 6 (starting pay ₹35,400) across all RRBs, with the A-2 medical standard. Applications were accepted from 15 July to 14 August 2026. On 16 September 2026 RRB released the application status, so candidates can now see whether their application was accepted or rejected.

How to Download the RRB Section Controller Admit Card

  1. Go to the official website of your RRB (listed on rrb.indianrailways.gov.in), or use the call-letter login linked from it.
  2. First open the Exam City & Date Intimation link to see your city and date. SC/ST candidates can download their travel authority from the same link.
  3. About 4 days before your exam date, open the E-Call Letter link and log in with your registration number and date of birth or password.
  4. Download the call letter, print it and check your name, photo, exam date, shift and centre address.

Check Your Application Status

Log in at rrbapply.gov.in with your account details to see your status. It will be one of three:

  • Provisionally accepted
  • Conditionally accepted
  • Rejected, with the reason

RRB has also sent the status by SMS and email to your registered contacts. All accepted candidatures remain provisional and can be cancelled at any stage if any data is found false or inconsistent. RRB will not entertain correspondence from rejected candidates.

Aadhaar Rules for Exam Day (Very Important)

  • Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication is done at the centre before entry. Carry your original Aadhaar card or a printout of e-verified Aadhaar.
  • If you have not yet verified your Aadhaar, log in at rrbapply.gov.in and complete Aadhaar verification before the exam.
  • Make sure your Aadhaar biometrics are unlocked in the UIDAI system before you go to the centre. This applies even if you verified Aadhaar while applying.
  • Your Aadhaar should show your correct name, a date of birth matching your Class 10 certificate, a recent photo, your father's name and your address. Biometrics should have been updated after age 15.
  • Carry the printed e-call letter. SC/ST candidates travelling on the free pass should also carry their travel authority.
