The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released Advertisement No. 04/2026 on behalf of the Delhi District Courts. It covers 641 posts: Senior Personal Assistant, Personal Assistant, Junior Judicial Assistant, Process Server and Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon, in the District & Sessions Courts and Family Courts of Delhi. Online applications are open from 6 October 2026 (12 noon) to 4 November 2026 (11:00 PM) on dsssbonline.nic.in.
The minimum qualification is Class 10 for Peon, Class 10 or 12 with a driving licence for Process Server, and graduation for the assistant and stenographer posts. The age limit for all posts is 18–27 years. The fee is just ₹100, and women, SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates pay nothing. Candidates from Uttarakhand and other states can apply. There is one important rule for them, explained in the Reservation section below.

- Senior PA: ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,800
- PA: Grade Pay ₹4,600
- Junior Judicial Assistant: ₹5,200–20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,800
- Process Server: Grade Pay ₹2,400
- Peon: Grade Pay ₹2,000
Under the 7th CPC pay matrix, Level 3 starts at ₹21,700 and Level 8 goes up to ₹1,51,100 a month, plus allowances.

The vacancies are tentative. Senior PA and PA posts are suitable only for some locomotor disabilities (PwBD category c), while the other posts are open to more PwBD categories. The full list is in the advertisement.
Age Limit and Relaxation
You must be 18 to 27 years old on 1 June 2026, which means born between 2 June 1999 and 1 June 2008. Only the date of birth in your Class 10 certificate is accepted.

Reservation: Important for Candidates from Uttarakhand and Other States
- Only OBC (Delhi) candidates get OBC reservation and age relaxation. If you are OBC in Uttarakhand, UP or any other state, you must apply under the UR (General) category. You will not get the OBC age relaxation. The one exception is an outside-Delhi OBC certificate issued on the basis of a Delhi OBC certificate held by your father, sibling or paternal uncle who lived in Delhi before 8 September 1993.
- OBC candidates need a non-creamy layer certificate issued between 1 April 2026 and 4 November 2026.
- EWS candidates need an Income & Asset Certificate valid for 2026-27, based on income in 2025-26, and issued by 4 November 2026.
- Your category cannot be changed after you submit the form.
Exam Pattern
All MCQs carry 1 mark each, and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. In Tier-I and Tier-II, UR and EWS candidates need at least 50% to qualify, and OBC (Delhi), SC, ST, PwBD and ESM candidates need 45%.

DSSSB conducts the written and skill tests. The Delhi District Courts conduct the driving test and interview and prepare the final merit list. You choose your preferred posts and courts at the interview, and that choice cannot be changed later.
How to Apply
- If you are new, register once on the OARS portal at dsssbonline.nic.in ("Click for New Registration"). You have 30 minutes to complete the form. Use an email and mobile number that are not already registered there. Your name, gender and father's name cannot be edited later.
- Keep a scanned photo ID ready (PAN, Voter ID, driving licence or passport) as a JPG of 15–60 KB. If you give your Aadhaar number, you do not need to upload an ID.
- Log in with your registration number and apply for the post code you want.
- Upload a recent, clear colour photo with a white background and your signature.
- Pay ₹100 through SBI e-pay if you are not exempt, and submit by 4 November 2026, 11:00 PM.
Fill the form carefully. No correction is allowed after you submit it, including a change of category. More than one registration or application leads to cancellation and a ban from DSSSB exams.
Exam Day Rules
- Exam centres may be in Delhi/NCR or other states, as DSSSB decides.
- Dress code: light half-sleeve clothes without big buttons or badges, and slippers or low-heel sandals. Shoes are not allowed.
- Mobile phones, earbuds, smart or electronic watches, calculators and metal items are banned. Being caught with one leads to debarment and legal action.
