UKSSSC Pashudhan Prasar Adhikari Admit Card 2026 Out: Exam 18 Oct (Advt 76)

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) will hold the written exam for 120 Pashudhan Prasar Adhikari (Livestock Extension Officer) posts in the Animal Husbandry Department, Uttarakhand on 18 October 2026, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. These are Group 'C' posts advertised under Advertisement No. 76/UKSSSC/2026, dated 8 May 2026: 108 posts by direct recruitment and 12 for departmental employees.

Latest update (12 October 2026): the admit card is out. Under notice no. 234/Gopan/2026-27, UKSSSC has published admit cards for Pashudhan Prasar Adhikari (Advt 76) and Surveyor (Advt 74) on sssc.uk.gov.in from 12 October. The exam was first set for 20 September 2026 (notice no. 1652, 25 August 2026). UKSSSC's revised programme (notice no. 1775, 2 September 2026) moved it to 18 October 2026.

Among the direct-recruitment posts, horizontal reservation also covers ex-servicemen (3), orphans (5), skilled sportspersons (2), state agitators and their dependants (9), dependants of freedom fighters (1) and persons with disabilities (4). Two of the 12 departmental posts are for women.

Eligibility

Direct recruitment (108 posts)

• A bachelor's degree with Biology, Agriculture or Animal Husbandry as a subject, from a university established by law in India.
• Age 21 to 42 years (see the age section below).
• Meet the Uttarakhand connection rule for Group 'C' posts (employment exchange registration in Uttarakhand, or Uttarakhand domicile/permanent residence, or High School and Intermediate passed in Uttarakhand).

Departmental employees (12 posts)

• Only for employees of the Animal Husbandry Department, Uttarakhand, with 5 years of continuous service on the first day of the recruitment year.
• Intermediate with Biology or Agriculture from the Uttarakhand board, the UP board, or an equivalent recognised examination.

Preference (when other things are equal) goes to candidates with an NCC 'B' certificate, an NSS certificate, or 15 years of continuous active service as a Veterinary Dresser Class 1 or 2 in the Remount Veterinary Corps.

Training: before appointment, selected candidates get 6 months of training at the departmental training centre and 6 months at departmental veterinary hospitals under a veterinary officer. No pay, honorarium or allowance is given during the training period.

Age Limit

Age is counted on 1 July 2026: minimum 21, maximum 42 years. SC, ST and OBC candidates of Uttarakhand get 5 years of relaxation, persons with disabilities of Uttarakhand 10 years, and dependants of Uttarakhand freedom fighters 5 years. Ex-servicemen may deduct their service period as per the rules.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

• Objective, multiple-choice paper (offline OMR or online) with questions related to the qualification for the post. The topic-wise syllabus is in Appendix-1 of the advertisement.
• Negative marking: a quarter (1/4) of the marks is cut for each wrong answer. Unattempted questions carry no penalty.
• Minimum qualifying marks: 45% for General and OBC, 35% for SC and ST.
• The merit list is made from the written exam marks. For equal marks, the older candidate ranks higher.

How to Download the Admit Card

1. Open the Pashudhan Prasar Adhikari admit card link (in Important Links below), or go to sssc.uk.gov.in → Recruitment & Notification.
2. Enter your registration/application number and date of birth as filled in the online form.
3. Download and print the admit card. Check that it has a bar code, as the commission asks candidates to make sure of this.
4. Check your name, photo, exam centre and reporting time. The exam is from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
5. On 18 October, reach the centre printed on the admit card with the admit card and an original photo ID. You will not be allowed to sit the exam without them.

Exam Day Tips

• The paper is offline on an OMR sheet with three copies. Hand in the original and the second copy to the invigilator, and keep the third copy. Not handing them in means a zero result.
• You may take the question booklet home after the exam.
• Do not use whitener or cut/overwrite answers on the OMR sheet, as this also attracts negative marking.
• Fill your roll number and booklet series correctly. A wrong or blank entry means the OMR sheet will not be checked.
