Exam Day: Aadhaar and Documents

  • Aadhaar biometric authentication is done at the centre before you enter. Bring your original Aadhaar card or a printout of the e-verified Aadhaar.
  • If you have not yet verified your Aadhaar, log in at rrbapply.gov.in and complete the verification before the exam.
  • Make sure your Aadhaar is not biometrically locked in the UIDAI system on the exam day. Your name, date of birth (as in your Class 10 certificate), photo, father's name and address should be up to date in Aadhaar.
  • Carry the e-call letter, an original photo ID and a recent colour passport photograph (not older than two months).
  • Do not fill in the self-declaration, signature or thumb impression on the call letter in advance. You must do this in the exam hall in front of the invigilator.
  • Mobile phones, watches, pens, wallets, belts, caps, water bottles and other banned items are not allowed. The centre provides a pen. Avoid applying henna (mehndi), because it interferes with biometric capture.
