CBT Result Declared (5 October 2026)

The RRBs declared the result of the 14–15 July CBT on 5 October 2026. Each RRB has published its own PDF in the Exam Results section of its website. The result works in two ways:

  • Junior Translator (Hindi): candidates are shortlisted for the Translation Test on 30 October, at about 10 times the vacancies.
  • All other posts (Chief Law Assistant, Senior Publicity Inspector and so on): candidates are shortlisted directly for Document Verification (DV) and medical examination, equal to the number of vacancies.

Roll numbers in the lists are in ascending order, not in order of merit. To see your individual score card, with the question paper and final answer key, log in on your RRB website with your registration number and date of birth. The link is open only for 15 days from the result notice.

About the Translation Test

  • It is a qualifying test. You must score at least 60% to qualify.
  • About 10 times the number of vacancies are called, based on main CBT merit and taking reservation into account. Everyone tied at the cut-off mark is also called.
  • The final merit list is based only on main CBT marks. Translation Test marks do not count in merit. If you fail to reach 60%, you are out of the selection.
  • After the test, candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification and medical examination (standard C-2), in order of merit.

How to Download the Exam City Slip and Call Letter

  1. Go to the website of the RRB you applied to, or rrb.indianrailways.gov.in.
  2. Around 20 October, open the CEN 08/2025 Exam City & Date Intimation link. SC/ST candidates can download their free travel authority here.
  3. Around 26 October, open the E-Call Letter link and log in with your registration number and date of birth or password.
  4. Print the call letter and check your shift, reporting time and centre address.

Aadhaar and Exam-Day Rules

  • Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication is done before you enter. Carry your original Aadhaar or a printout of e-verified Aadhaar.
  • If you have not done so already, complete Aadhaar verification at rrbapply.gov.in. Keep your Aadhaar biometrics unlocked in UIDAI.
  • Your Aadhaar should show your correct name, date of birth (as per Class 10), latest photo, address and father's name.
  • Bring a colour passport photo taken within the last 2 months.
  • Do not apply mehndi, because it blocks biometric capture. Phones, watches, pens, bags and food are not allowed. RRB provides the pen.
