The Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway (RRC NWR), Jaipur has invited online applications for 2,008 Act Apprentice training slots under Notice No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA), dated 21 October 2026. Apply on rrcjaipur.in from 23 October to 22 November 2026 (11:59 PM).
There is no written exam. Selection is on a merit list made from the average of your Class 10 percentage and ITI marks. You need 10th with at least 50% and an ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in the trade, and must be 15–24 years old on 22 November 2026. The notification has no state domicile condition, so ITI holders from Uttarakhand can also apply. Training is at NWR divisions and workshops in Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur. Note: the notification's headline figure is 2,008 slots, but its unit-wise tables add up to 2,234. RRC says all slot numbers are provisional and may go up or down. Check the slots for your trade in the notification before choosing a unit.
Trades
Slots are in trades such as Fitter, Electrician (Power / Coaching / TRD), Welder (Gas & Electric), Diesel Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, Carpenter, Painter, Turner/Machinist, Refrigeration & AC Mechanic, Plumber, Mason and Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA). Fitter and Welder have the most slots. Your ITI must be in the same trade.
Eligibility
- Education: Class 10 (or equivalent) with at least 50% aggregate (no rounding off) and an NCVT/SCVT National Trade Certificate in the notified trade. Candidates still awaiting their final result should not apply.
- Age: 15 to 24 years on 22 November 2026. Relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years. Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per rules.
- Aadhaar: you must enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number. Your name, father's name and date of birth must match your Class 10 certificate.
- OBC candidates need a Central-format OBC-NCL certificate issued on or after 1 April 2026.
How the Merit List Is Made
- Your Class 10 percentage (all subjects) and your ITI percentage in the trade are averaged.
- Merit lists are made unit-wise, trade-wise and category-wise. There is no single central list.
- If two candidates have equal marks, the older one is placed first. If the dates of birth are the same, the one who passed Class 10 earlier goes first.
- Selected candidates are called for document verification and a medical certificate at the chosen unit.

- Go to rrcjaipur.in and open the Act Apprentice Notice 04/2026 link.
- Register and fill your details, Class 10 and ITI marks, trade and one unit.
- Upload your photo, signature and documents, then pay the fee online (card or net banking).
- Download and keep the application printout and your registration number. Apply only once — multiple applications are rejected.
Stipend and training period are as per the Apprentices Act rules. No hostel is provided.
