Exam Pattern
| Item | Details |
| Paper | One objective (multiple-choice) paper on subjects related to the post's qualification (syllabus in the advertisement) |
| Marks / time | 100 marks, 2 hours |
| Options | Four per question |
| Negative marking | ¼ of the question's marks for each wrong answer; no penalty for unattempted questions |
| Minimum qualifying marks | 45% for General and OBC, 35% for SC and ST |
| Merit | Written exam marks; for equal marks the older candidate ranks higher |
- The exam is offline on an OMR sheet with three copies. Hand in the original and second copy to the invigilator and keep the third. Not handing them in means a zero result.

- A wrong or blank roll number or booklet series means the OMR sheet will not be checked.
