There are 108 posts in the Sports Directorate, Uttar Pradesh: Deputy Sports Officer, Assistant Coach in 13 sports, Life Guard and Groundsman. Online applications are open from 14 October to 4 November 2026 at upsssc.gov.in.
Only candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and received a score card can apply. Shortlisting for the written main exam is done on the PET-2025 normalised score. The application fee is just ₹25.

Preference (when other things are equal) is given for experience of organising sports competitions, a diploma or certificate in physical education, 2 years in the Territorial Army or an NCC 'B' certificate (as applicable to the post).
Age Limit
- Deputy Sports Officer and Assistant Coach: 21 to 40 years on 1 July of the year of the advertisement (1 July 2026).
- Life Guard and Groundsman: 18 to 40 years (for posts advertised between July and December, counted on 1 July).
- Uttar Pradesh SC, ST and other notified categories get relaxation as per government rules; serving government employees get relaxation equal to their service where the rules allow.

- One objective paper of 100 questions (1 mark each) in 2 hours.
- Negative marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer.
- The 40 sports questions cover exercise physiology, sports psychology, training methods, biomechanics, nutrition, sports medicine and organisation, and national/international sports events.
Application Fee
Only the online processing fee of ₹25 for UR, OBC, SC and ST alike. Women, ex-servicemen, PwD, freedom fighters' dependants and outstanding sportspersons pay as per their original category. Shortlisted candidates pay a separate main exam fee before downloading the admit card.

- Log in with your PET-2025 registration number — either with your personal details or with an OTP sent to your registered mobile/e-mail.
- Your PET details, photo and signature appear automatically. Fill in your qualification, experience and preferential qualifications.
- Pay ₹25 online and print your application. Corrections can be made until 11 November 2026.
