Mains Shortlist Result: Key Facts

  • 42,087 candidates are shortlisted for the Main Exam of 1,182 posts.
  • The cut-off is a normalised PET-2025 score of 0.55. Every applicant at or above this score has been shortlisted.
  • Candidates whose actual (absolute) or normalised PET-2025 score is zero or negative were removed before shortlisting, as the advertisement requires.
  • UPSSSC says the shortlist follows the Allahabad High Court order in writ petition A-68706/2015 (Lalit Kumar vs State of UP and others).
  • The advertisement had planned to shortlist about 15 times the posts in each category; the final list is larger because it goes down to the 0.55 cut-off.
  • Candidates marked "Under Investigation" or "Provisional" in the PET-2025 result are allowed provisionally, subject to the commission's final decision.
