Eligibility

  • Native of Rajasthan. Reserved-category candidates from other states are treated as General — but every applicant must be a native of Rajasthan.
  • No educational qualification is required.
  • Experience: one year of sanitation work in any urban local body of Rajasthan. It may be continuous or made up of separate periods adding up to one year.
  • Experience certificate in the prescribed format, issued after 1 August 2026 and before the last date. If you worked directly for the body, it is issued by the Executive Officer or an authorised officer; if you worked through a contractor, the contractor's certificate must be countersigned by the officer named in the advertisement. The format is on lsg.urban.rajasthan.gov.in.
  • Apply to only one urban local body. Applying in more than one body, or more than once, cancels all your applications.
  • Fake experience certificates lead to strict legal action against the candidate and the issuing person or agency.

Minimum 21 years and below 40 years on 1 January 2027. Upper age relaxation (Rajasthan natives):

  • MBC 5%, EWS 10%, ex-servicemen 15%, outstanding sportspersons 2% and persons with disabilities 4%.
  • Married women from OBC/MBC must submit a caste certificate based on their father's name, residence and income — one based on the husband's income is not accepted.
  • Sahariya candidates of Baran district get reservation only if they mark it clearly in the form.

Honorarium and Conditions

  • Fixed honorarium of ₹7,410 per month (Labour Department notification of 13 December 2024).
  • The post is fully contractual.
  • Selected candidates need a fitness certificate from the CMHO or a medical jurist, and police verification.
  • Marriage registration is required, and the usual two-child rule (children born after 1 June 2002) applies.

Selection by Lottery

  1. Eligible applicants with one year of experience in the same urban local body enter the lottery first.
  2. If posts remain, applicants with experience in other bodies of the same district are added.
  3. If posts still remain, applicants with experience in any urban local body of the state are added.

The lottery is run category-wise through online software developed by Rajasthan's DoIT department. Where the High Court has ordered priority or regularisation for petitioners in earlier sanitation recruitments, they get priority in that body.

Application Fee (One-Time Registration)

CategoryOTR fee

Persons with disabilities₹400

Candidates who have already paid the one-time registration fee on SSO do not pay again.
